Kumbh Mela (कुम्भ मेला) è un pellegrinaggio religioso induista di massa in cui gli Hindu si riuniscono per immergersi nel Gange. Si tratta del più grande raduno religioso al mondo.
Il 10 febbraio 2013 è stato il principale giorno di abluzione al Maha Kumbh Mela e, probabilmente, il maggiore raduno umano in un singolo giorno; più di 30 milioni di devoti e asceti hanno svolto le abluzioni sacre in occasione del Mauni Amavasya.
Kumbh Mela (कुम्भ मेला) is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in the Ganges sacred river. It is the world’s largest religious gathering.
10 Feb 2013 was the biggest bathing day at the Maha Kumbh Mela and probably the largest human gathering on a single day; over 30 million devotees and ascetics took holy dip on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.

è stata una cosa inimmaginabile, ma è difficile descrivere la folla, l’atmosfera, le sensazioni. La devozione che gli hindu hanno per il Gange è davvero incredibile ed emozionante.
