Photo challenge: we look forward to seeing the unexpected!
An iron bow bound to some branches?
The crescent moon on the minaret of a simple mosque!
Rustic mosque – Danakil, Ethiopia.

Absolutely priceless Stefano! Did you love Ethiopia? I’ve been told the colorful tribes there are well worth the trip.

Actually Ethiopia deserves more than one trip, Tina, since there are many different regions.
These shots, as well as the header one, are from the “lunar” region of Danakil in the north-east; on the south is the Omo river basin with some really interesting ethnic groups (Mursi, Karo, Hamer, …); on the north is the Tigrai region with Lalibela and the rock-hewn churches. Not to mention the Simien mountains. I’ve only been to the first two destinations, but the others are on “the list” đ

what a find!! I like both the broader view and the tighter frame… the latter focuses on detail and the first one gives the general picture, both are absolutely great, Stefano!!

Thank you, Alexandra. It was an unusual building indeed.
